Home Fire Preparedness - Fire Extinguisher Best Practices

This training was created by First Alert and the National Volunteer Fire Council to help you understand the strong need for community-based fire extinguisher education programs. It aims to give you the tools to help your neighbors reduce the risk of suffering from fire incidents. Safety is the number one priority. Proper fire extinguisher maintenance and education can help make your community safer.

Bill Hopson

Captain Hopson has been an active firefighter since 1978 and served as a Deputy Fire Marshal for Ocean County, New Jersey for 31 years.  He is currently an instructor for the Toms River Township Fire Academy and the Mercer County Fire Academy in New Jersey.
