This four-part series will enhance the skill set of the fire department administration and junior firefighter program advisors in the leadership and management of their junior fire fighter program, including key areas of mentorship, safety, and fundraising.

Jon Mackey

Jon Mackey is the Assistant Chief of the Somers Volunteer Fire Department in Westchester County NY and a Career Firefighter with the City of Danbury Fire Department in Connecticut. He has 15 years of experience in the fire service and is a New York State Fire Instructor. Among many national fire service credentials, such as Fire Officer 2 and Fire Instructor 2, he also holds a Master’s degree in Fire Administration. Jon likes to spend his free time enjoying the outdoors.
