When a mayday is declared, every second counts. This webinar bridges the gap between cultivating a strong mayday culture in training and executing effective incident command strategies on the fireground. Participants will learn strategies to build a proactive culture that emphasizes prevention, readiness, and effective mayday response at both the individual and organizational level.
Samson DeSessa
Samson “Mufasa” DeSessa was born in Kingsville, Texas in 1973. He began his career in the United States Air Force in 1991,then transitioned into private military contracting before accepting a job with the Department of Defense (DoD). A combat veteran with a 34-year track record of public service, he has earned a host of military and civilian honors while taking on roles as diverse as firefighter, EOD technician, designated defensive marksman, author, and keynote speaker. He currently serves as the Fire Chief for the Naval Air Station in Fort Worth. Samson has been a speaker/presenter for the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) Leadership Development Program since 2008.
